Birth Month Flowers

“I must have flowers, always and always.”

Monet said that, and I’ve carried those words with me for years. But this collection began long before I ever put paint to canvas — it began the day I found out I was expecting my daughter, Maggie. I wanted her nursery to hold something special, something that honored her arrival in a way that felt personal and full of meaning.

At first, I thought I’d paint just three magnolias — of course I did — but the sketches quickly grew into something bigger. Before long, those three blooms turned into twelve, one for each month of the year. As I worked on each floral, I found myself thinking of a loved one born in that month. A friend. A sibling. A grandparent. Someone whose presence shaped my life. And suddenly these weren’t just flowers on a page; they became quiet tributes. Little celebrations of the people we cherish.

This collection was created with a mother’s heart and an artist’s hands — each piece intended to honor someone dear, whether they’re brand new to the world or long woven into your life. What began as artwork for a nursery became something much larger: a way to commemorate the people who matter most.

My hope is that these birth month florals bring that same sense of meaning and tenderness into your home. Whether you choose one for a child, a parent, a friend, or yourself, may it serve as a reminder of the beauty found in celebrating a life you love.
